I’m so glad things like public library boxes became a thing in the last couple of years. They’re such a neat idea and they’re usually put up by individuals as well as small organizations. I’ve seen them in neighborhoods in front of people’s houses and also in public parks.

I actually just went and visited one that’s two blocks down from where I live. There wasn’t anything I was interested in borrowing, but it felt good to leave a book I didn’t want behind for someone else to borrow in the future.

Have you seen a public library box before? Did you borrow/leave a book?

If you didn’t know about them until you saw this post, are you going to go look for one in your area?

If you’re drawing multiple things on a sketchbook page, draw a thick outline around the sketches that you like the most/think look the best.

When you do this, it provides more contrast over the other drawings on the page so that your eyes are naturally pulled more towards the bolded, better drawings than the sketchy drawings you don’t like as much.

Another thing you can also try is drawing circles, squares, or other shapes around the better drawings (or around part of it) or add in a different color outline/color shape around the better drawings. This also provides contrast and different textures on the page, making your eyes focus on them even more.

Can we start saying congratudolences whenever someone with a chronic illness or mental illness gets confirmation of the disorder that they have?

Like, we don't want to necessarily say congratulations when they get diagnosed or when they get proof of a diagnosis because like it's not a good thing they have that disorder, but also we do because the hard work so many people with chronic illnesses and mental illnesses have to go through to get the right diagnosis is worth celebrating in an "I'm sorry you have this, but at least you were right about what you're going through and know for sure now." sort of way. You know? Also, same goes for whenever they can get the right treatment or doctor. You are sorry they had to go through so much trouble to get there, but at least they are now.

This phrase is courtesy of one of my partner's IRL friends.
