1. Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) (Trailer) - Watched February 16th, 2021

Where to Watch: Rent on major VOD sites
Synopsis: It's open season on Harley Quinn when her explosive breakup with the Joker puts a big fat target on her back. Unprotected and on the run, Quinn faces the wrath of narcissistic crime boss Black Mask, his right-hand man, Victor Zsasz, and every other thug in the city. But things soon even out for Harley when she becomes unexpected allies with three deadly women -- Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya.
I just really want to see Harley Quinn and a bunch of punk-ass ladies living their best lives while beating up people.
2. A Whiskers Away (Trailer) - Removed from Watchlist

Where to Watch: Netflix
Synopsis: The line between human and animal starts to blur after a girl transforms herself into a cat.
This movie gives me big The Cat Returns vibes but with romance added. It seemed interesting and pretty cute.
3. Palm Springs (Trailer) - Watched January 10th, 2021

Where to Watch: Hulu
Synopsis: Stuck in a time loop, two wedding guests develop a budding romance while living the same day over and over again.
I don't know anything about this movie, but I heard it was good, I liked the premise, and it has Andy Samberg in it.As of 01/10/2021, I've watched this! Review coming soon!
4. The Old Guard (Trailer)
Where to Watch: Netflix
Synopsis: A group of mercenaries, all centuries-old immortals with the ablity to heal themselves, discover someone is onto their secret, and they must fight to protect their freedom.
- I only know 3 things about this movie, but only 1 matters to me: they are immortal, it's an action movie, and there's some found family tropes + a gay couple in it. Can you guess which one matters to me?
5. Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs (Trailer) - Watched December 30th, 2020
Where to Watch: Rent on major VOD sites
Synopsis: Princes who have been turned into Dwarfs seek the red shoes of a lady in order to break the spell, although it will not be easy. A parody with a twist.
This movie is one I have had my eye on FOREVER, but it finally got released in the US, so I'm going to include it as new. This is a Korean animation movie based on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Now the biggest reason I've had my eye on this movie is because Snow White is actually fat! She doesn't look it from the poster, but apparently the red shoes she is wearing turns her into "the fairest of them all". Now don't get squicked by that! The movie actually portrays her happy being fat and she's actually quite pretty and confident too. I'm aware this movie unfortunately got marketed in a gross way, but from the cursory reviews I've seen of it, the movie is not actually like at all, so I'm definitely going to give it a watch and see for myself. As of 12/30/2020, I've watched this! Review coming soon!
6. Words on Bathroom Walls (Trailer) - Watched January 10th, 2021
Where to Watch: Rent on major VOD sites
Synopsis: Diagnosed with a mental illness during his senior year of high school, a witty, introspective teen struggles to keep it a secret while falling in love with a brilliant classmate who inspires him to open his heart and not be defined by his condition.
This movie at first glace appears to be one of your typical YA romance movies, but one thing that makes it stand out is that the main character has schizophrenia! I've double checked what people with schizophrenia have to say about this movie (Review 1 on The MightyandReview 2 on Tumblr) and the verdict is that this movie may not be the best movie out there, but it is not at all an offensive take on schizophrenia and it does depict it fairly accurately. The main character is well-rounded, portrayed positively, and of course, gets the girl and I haven't heard anything about it being all inspiration porn-like and the character doesn't get magically cured at the end either. Seeing as there are such a low amount of good movies out there with disabilities and mental disorders portrayed in them that are 1) decently good and 2) aren't full of inspiration porn or the character getting infantilized or bullied for their disorder, I'll take it!As of 01/17/2021, I've watched this! Review coming soon!
7. Jingle Jangle (Trailer)
Where to Watch: Netflix
Synopsis: Decades after his apprentice betrays him, a once joyful toy maker finds new hope when his bright young granddaughter appears on his doorstep.
- Okay, I have to admit, I really don't know that much about this movie, but a pretty much all POC cast and GORGEOUS sets and costumes has me definitely putting this movie on my list to watch.
8. Come Away (Trailer) - Removed from Watchlist
Where to Watch: Rent on major VOD sites
Synopsis: Eight-year-old Alice and her mischievous brother Peter journey to London to sell a treasured heirloom. Returning home, Alice seeks temporary refuge in a wondrous rabbit hole, while Peter enters a magical realm as leader of the lost boys.
This movie is very interesting because it combines Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland in one movie and they are both black with their parents being an interracial couple. This movie is a little bit more drama than fantasy, but it looks sweet and warm, so I'm going to give it a watch.
9. Wonder Woman 1984 (Trailer) - Removed from Watchlist
Where to Watch: Only in movie theaters atm, VOD and physical releases are TBA
Synopsis: Wonder Woman squares off against Maxwell Lord and the Cheetah, a villainess who possesses superhuman strength and agility.
I loved the first movie, I love Diana, I want to see more. Plus, Chris Pine in a fanny pack, it doesn't get better than that, does it?

Synopsis: After Katie Mitchell is accepted into the film school of her dreams, her family decides to use this opportunity to drive Katie to school as a road trip. When their plans are interrupted by a tech uprising, the Mitchells realize that they must work together to save the world
This looks cute! I like the unique art style especially. A little bit of the annoying "kids always stuck on their phones these days" start, but then it takes a wild twist later on.
11. Tom & Jerry (Trailer) - Removed from Watchlist
Where to Watch: This will be released on February 26, 2021 for both theaters and HBO Max
Synopsis: Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse get kicked out of their home and relocate to a fancy New York hotel, where a scrappy employee named Kayla will lose her job if she can’t evict Jerry before a high-class wedding at the hotel. Her solution? Hiring Tom to get rid of the pesky mouse.
So, I have to admit something, I am only watching this movie because the animation is very reminiscent of Who Framed Roger Rabbit and judging by the trailer, it's handled really well. Me and Mel slowed the trailer down to 0.5 speed just to focus on all the animation details and it's actually kinda amazing because it has 3 layers: the real world, semi-real/semi-animated, and then fully animated. And of course, they have all the classic Tom and Jerry gags like moving the mouse hole so he rams his head into the wall and slamming the window down on Tom's fingers and all that jazz, just set in the world instead. I know everyone is tired of live action remakes/reboots of franchises, but if they're going to do it, I'd love if they did it like this Tom & Jerry movie or the Sonic movie that also came out this year
